THE THREE SIDES OF ANA
EPISODE #93
PANDORA'S BOX BEGINS TO OPEN
Inside Ernestina’s manse, Ramiro’s best backdoor efforts to avoid Ana Laura’s performance with Valentin to raise funds for The Foundation, by talking Rodrigo into footing the bill for the next year’s entire budget, so that she and TinTin won’t have to spend time alone rehearsing together, all come to nothing. A Llora wont’ disappoint TinTin or the others involved by cancelling it. Tough nuts—no if’s, and’s or but’s.
Outside in the garden, Nerina tries her best to get on her son, TinTin’s, best side after so many years on the outs. She blames their separation on that trollup, Gina—a big mistake—who clouded his otherwise (?) good judgment. TinTin tells her never to speak like that of the love of his life. He sneers at her sudden upsurge in “maternal love” now that she’s learned he’s a paralytic, calls her a crappy mother, and gripes that Ramiro has stolen another woman from him and marrying her, like he did with Gina. Bottom line: Nerina strikes out Big Time with TinTin of the tiresome temper tantrums.
At The Realty Place, Sickie de Ana Leticia comes as close as she dares to seducing Unkie Mariano, thinking he must feel the same as she does about him about wanting such a socially prohibited and sexually perverse relationship together. It all goes over his head and he blows her off to be alone for a bit with his own thoughts. She learns that Viridiana is in the lobby waiting to see Mo, so on her way back to her own office, she takes pleasure in lording her position as Mo’s “special little girl” and niece of the owner, to shoo Vi out of the building by lying that he’s busy and cannot be disturbed. “—I am sure he won’t see you as he just said he didn’t want to see anybody at all.” (Yeeeeowwwww!!! Hissssss!!! FFFFFFttt!) Mo walks up behind Ana Lemeeee and blows her story all to Hell. He greets Vi and invites her back into his office immediately. Embarrassed, Ana MiMi licks her paws and begins grooming herself. Vi purrs and lifts her fluffy tail as she prances past A MiMi and receives Mo’s kiss on her cheek.
At Remedios’s Rooming House, Ana Lucia notes very quickly that Rem has been keeping the truth from her just like Mama Soledad and Santiago have.
Back in Mo’s office, Vi hands over a personal check to him reimbursing him for the cost of the ruined dress he paid for. Why? She gives him the lowdown on Missy Uptown for the way she behaved towards Vi’s seamstress, claiming the woman had ruined it due to her incompetence. Her verbal abuse had her trusted employee in tears. Vi says she will not tolerate that from even his niece. Mo may let her get away with everything, but Vi refuses!
Back in her office, Ana MiMi has a perverted daydream about Unky Mo and her admitting their sexually perverted love for each other. Iñaki spoils it and she plays the big tease with him.
Back at the manse, Ana Llora gives TinTin the great news about Ram’s procuring that huge donation. TinTin changes his instrument of choice from oboe to violin as he plays the “pity-poor-me-I-can-always-go-back-to-playing-for-tips-in-the-street” sympathy card with A Llora in a pissing contest for her time and favors.
Nerina is now in the park watching parents and their loving children enjoying time together. She has a flashback to the day her husband died. TinTin and Claudia griped at their mother for spending all the liquid cash on Daddy’s intensive care and therapy even when Nerina knew the man hadn’t a hope in Hell of survival. Nerina begs off saying she simply couldn’t bear the thought of losing him. Claudia says the accountant just told her that she made the decision to spend every last peso without consulting the kids first, and they won’t forgive her for it. (You have to see their point but, the cold treatment afterwards is so brutal considering their mother has lost the love of her life and her best friend in the world!) But what really adds salt to that wound was Gina prancing in and taking it upon herself to “sweetly” scold Nerina as well for not talking things over with her son and her daughter. Nerina walks over and smacks the crap outta her but good. (Cheers go up all throughout Viewerville.) Stoopid, naïve TinTin grabs Nerina by the arms and screams at her for that act of disrespect towards “his novia.”
Mo calls A MiMi on the carpet about her treatment of Soledad. Vi gives her a lesson in how to speak in a more tolerant tone when dealing with people of a different class. “--It wasn’t just given to me and I was demanding it be done right. If the woman wasn’t any good and ended up crying, it wasn’t my fault.” Vi reminds her it was a gift from her uncle and adds, “--Whatever, just give me back the dress in whatever condition it is now.” A MiMi nonchalantly advises she cannot because she threw it into the trash. Mo is horrified. She ignores his outburst. “—Now, is there anything else you need to discuss with me? I’ve got lots of important things to do.” Vi takes the opportunity to bring up all her tales about Claudia Rivas. Tell your uncle what you’ve told me.
Aross town, Claudia is trying to pay a visit to her mother. She sees Ana Lucia come out and immediately thinks she’s seeing Ana Leticia. She makes an offhand remark about the “new do.”

Parte 2~~
At Remedios’s Rooming House, Ana Lucia notes very quickly that Rem has been keeping the truth from her just like Mama Soledad and Santiago have.

TinTin changes his instrument of choice from oboe to violin as he plays the “pity-poor-me-I-can-always-go-back-to-playing-for-tips-in-the-street” sympathy card with A Llora in a pissing contest for her time and favors.
Ana Lucha doesn’t understand and eventually introduces herself as Ana Lucia. Claudi immediately understands and pretends her mother has told her about her.
Vi confronts A MiMi with her little tale that every time Claudia should call, Mo runs to answer, making Vi believe that there was a romantic relationship between the two of them. A MiMi tells her she was mistaken, and then that Viridiana is an all-out liar. Mo is shooting-dagger-eyes impactado at what he’s just heard. Ana MiMi demands he stand up for her. He refuses. In fact, he tells her to stop meddling in his affairs (both literally as well as figuratively); he is in love with Viridiana and he wants her in his life. Vi is surprised. Suddenly they both forget (well, I don’t really think Vi has) that A MiMi is standing there watching as he asks for a chance, admits he’s been a playboy and now that he wants this change in his life he’s frightened he won’t have the strength of character to resist, when Vi gives him the “Sí”, and when they seal it with a very seductive, passionate kiss. (Anybody know where Vi can find a couple of good body-guards--fast?)
Back at the boarding house, Claudia makes fast friends with Ana Lucha and gives her her business card. “—Let my mother know I came by and have her call me.” Nerina and Claudia miss each other by seconds.
Ana Lucha gives Nerina Claudia’s card and tells her she just missed seeing her daughter there.
Back in Mo’s office, once Vi leaves to wait for Mo in the reception area, Mo lets Ana MiMi have it with both barrels for trying to come between him and Vi. A MiMi screams it’s Vi who is trying to separate her from Mo. Mo doesn’t swallow it and he refuses to tolerate her disrespect any further. She then brings up how Marcelo has accused him of sleeping with Gina when she was engaged to Ramiro. “—How will Ramiro and Ana Laura feel about you once they know that, huh?” They won’t learn about it because you won’t say a word, he yells back at her. She screams hysterically that although she stood up for him with her husband when he insulted him, Mo turned his back on her when Vi insulted her—“—all for a worthless tramp who wants—just like so many others—only to sleep with you!!!” She will NEVER forgive him for that!! She races out into the lobby. She stares daggers at Vi and Vi shoots ‘em right back at her. Yaki shows up and she grabs him and offers to head out with him to see his clients with him.
Ram disinvites TinTin from lunching with him and A Llora. Outside in the garden, Ram tells TinTin he knows what he’s up to and he’s going to be there everyday during the recitals so he won’t have a chance of sidling up to HIS novia like he plans to. Violentin hisses back that any woman who gets involved with Ram ends up dead, like Gina. He’s only there to protect Ana Llora from Ramiro! The driver appears with the car. Ram tells him to take ‘uh what’s his name” but to be very careful of the neighborhood since the guy lives in the ghetto and they do steal tires off cars there.
Ana Leticia leaves with Yaki and begins crying and whining about how they were kissing in front of her and she’s torn to pieces over it. “—Who? Marcelo and Ana Lucia?” A MiMi suddenly realizes what she’s doing and gets it together. “—Obviously. You have no idea how it hurts me.” She cries on his shoulder and he speaks lovingly to her. Orlando is spying from the car on the other side of the street and writes what he sees all down for Evaristo.
At the restaurant, Vi and Mo discuss his untrustworthy past. She reminds him there was something important he’d begun to tell her the other night when they were alone, just before Ana MiMi breezed in. Seemed to be something he was ashamed of. “-- Did you decide to hide it from me or what?” He nods and she tells him he can wait till he’s ready to let it out.
Back in her rooms, Nerina explains to Ana Lucha that she didn’t tell her kids the whole story because it would only have been another worry for them on top of their father’s failing health. They may have been rude towards her, but Claudia has taken the first step to make amends, Ana Lucha tells her. (Maybe and maybe not.) Nerina says, maybe but then there’s her son and she wasn’t there for him when he needed her most, when he was lying there and learned he was unable to walk. A Lucha says she doesn’t think it’s that way. “—Give me his address and I’ll go and speak to him.”
