Laxmibai threatens to kill Nelson's wife and daughter if he does not surrender the fort.
Nelson accuses Laxmibai of involving the innocent in the war. Laxmibai counters by accusing Nelson of capturing the fort by threatening to kill Damodar. Rose asserts that she didn't want to stay in Jhansi and wants to leave.
Robert Hamilton rejects Laxmibai's threats. Nelson tries to convince Hamilton to surrender in exchange for Rose and his daughter's lives.
Hamilton is confident the queen of Jhansi will never harm innocent. Meanwhile, the public starts clamoring for punishment to Nelson's family. Chimna Bai too joins the chorus and reveals how the Company officials had planned to murder her.
Hamilton points out to Nelson that they would have to explain in case they fail to win the fort. Nelson declares he would go to any extent to save his family.
Laxmibai commands her subjects to stay away from Nelson's family. She asks them to get ready for war with the British.
Nelson asks his aide to write a message to Laxmibai.
While praying, Laxmibai confesses her failure to break her own rules. Acharya assures the queen that she has always taken the right step. He reminds her that Gods will always support her. Laxmibai and Acharya's conversation is broken when they hear the beating of the drums.
Damodar is hopeful that his mother would be able to stop the British and win back the fort.
A British general Dunlop spots Ghaus Khan leading a division of the Jhansi army and rushing towards the fort. Dunlop engages Ghaus Khan and the Jhansi soldiers.
Tatya Tope along with Laxmibai waits for Nelson to surrender the fort. Laxmibai orders Nelson to ask his soldiers to lay down their weapons.
Dunlop learns from his subordinate that the Jhansi army has been annihilated. However, Dunlop and his commanders are unaware of the fact that Ghaus Khan has escaped death. Ghaus Khan eavesdrops on Dunlop's conversation with his officials and learns about Nelson's play to outwit Laxmibai. Ghaus Khan learns that Nelson's offer to surrender is a ploy to bide time till the arrival of reinforcements under Dunlop's command.
After managing to get his family freed, Nelson plots to defeat Laxmibai. He waits eagerly for Dunlop to arrive at the head of additional forces to break the siege laid by Laxmibai.
Laxmibai commands the fort gates to be opened for the Company's army to march out. Robert Hamilton and Nelson are confident that they would turn tables on Laxmibai.
Ghaus Khan tries his best to rush to Laxmibai and break the news to her about British treachery. However, by the time he reaches the fort, Laxmibai has already walked into the trap laid by Nelson.
Laxmibai and her army commanders are shocked to see a British army waiting outside the fort.
After discovering Nelson's treachery, Laxmibai declares war on the Company.
On realizing the numerical superiority of the Company's army, Tatya Tope suggests to Laxmibai about leaving the fort. Meanwhile, the Company foments trouble all across Jhansi. Unable to bear the British conspiracy, Laxmibai decides to take on the Company.
Tatya Tope and Moropant try to convince Laxmibai against engaging the British. Fearing for the safety of her family, Laxmibai asks Tatya Tope to lead her family to safety outside Jhansi. Laxmibai reiterates her resolve to take on the British alone.
Nelson realizes well that Jhansi can be captured only after the death of Laxmibai. Nelson spots Laxmibai entering the fort all alone and decides to attack her.
After learning about her husband's act, Rose is ashamed of Nelson. Nelson gets offended when Rose wishes she was born an Indian. His further gets offended when Rose expresses her desire to serve the queen of Jhansi.
Laxmibai fights the Company soldiers inside the fort. The story takes an interesting turn when she is abducted after being made unconscious.
Robert Hamilton along with Nelson and Dunlop are alarmed when Laxmibai vanishes from the fort. Nelson orders his soldiers to find Laxmibai.
It is later revealed that the person who abducted Laxmibai is none other than Tatya Tope. Tatya Tope regrets at having to stop Laxmibai in such a way. Tatya Tope realizes that it was the only way to save Laxmibai from fighting the British alone.
Nelson informs Lord Dalhousie that he had succeeded in annexing Jhansi. He intends to hoist the East India Company's flag on the Jhansi fort.
