EPISODE #33, TUESDAY 17TH JULY.....
THERE'S ALWAYS SEX
• When Mia and Raquel return from the psych session, Jovita gives Raq the news that she’s got company: Gabriela is there to gripe about Santiago’s poor workmanship and his lackadaisical attitude in getting her kitchen finished. Otherwise, she’ll be forced to take action. Raq reminds her that she’s the one who raced to employ him. He’s excellent, Raq insists and comments that Gabi is simply upset that unlike other men, he’s not kneeling down at her feet enthralled. Gabi gets more than miffed at that and starts to leave, but not before Dam gets home. Gabi whispers in his ear when kissing her greeting that she’ll meet him at his office but not to worry, she’s said nothing to his wife.
• When Nicolas finally arrives back home with the medicine for Benji, Mia’s there waiting. Lola takes Benji to his room. Mia wants to know where she stands with Nico. She wonders why after their steaming the sheets a time or two he’s been avoiding her—and IT. (I think.) He tries to show her he’s sincere, but though the heart is willing, the hamster in his Hayne’s is on strike.
• Meanwhile, the cops have recovered the black company car of Legato’s. Unfortunately, it’s been purposely burned to avoid their being able to place it at the site of the murder and, especially the tire treads are no longer able to be matched to the molds they took near the accident site. They’ll have to find another way. Antonio’s upset that his wife and/or her news sources are always a step ahead and that’s why the car is now a burned out useless hulk to them.
While chatting about the car, Antonio brings up to Godoy that they have to do something about Copper Rafael. They’ll keep mum and let him lead them to the top of the food chain and then they’ll swoop in on him and the local cartel.
• At the same time, Rafe yells at Cinthia he wants details about her “appointment.” Why? What’s the big deal??? It’s because this is the guy Rafe sent to prison (???). (I didn’t catch all of that.) She gets her money and it’s not that Rafe’s accusing SinCin but after she admits it was a ploy by the police, he tells her he’s the one with problems now, not her and he gives her the cash she’s due.
• Laura is having a discussion on the news with another talking head about the case. She mentions that Nacho is now a person of interest and their unproven theory that he could be connected to the murder. (I hope the liable laws in Mexico are the same as here…..)
• The next day, Alina asks Nico if he slept with his girlfriend. He admits he didn’t. She’s upset. When he tries pawing her again, he gets gritched at. She is his boss and he’s got a job to do; besides, she’s the one who determines when and where they’ll sleep together again. She shews him out of her office and Nacho shows up to get word on getting Bebo out of jail. She tells him that he’s been released. (There’s no case any longer, I think.) Nacho comments that he’s worried now that the cops consider him a suspect for Carolina’s murder.
• Raq and Santi drive over to see what to do with the catering business site. She feels Caro everywhere and says it’s the only thing she’s got of any value now. Santi doesn’t want to be anywhere around that place since it’s where the affair got started. Raq wants to sell it.
• Lola gets a delayed letter from Pati in the mail that morning which discusses Michael and Juan, She doesn’t trust Juan because he’s always hanging around her, harassing her, and gets very violent. Michael she doesn’t trust either since he’s dumped her and has threatened her.
• Lola calls Laura and gives her that letter. Laura suggests it could be that Michael killed Pati. She takes the letter to Antonio and gives it to him trying to get him to consider it as proof that Michael killed her instead of her committing suicide.
• Federico starts working in the factory incognito at Legato and gets an earful from the woman showing him around. She says that Andres is 180 degrees opposite in his treatment of the employees from Damian, his cousin. Andres disrespects the lot of them in the factory and shows it. Damian always treated them reasonably but Andres seems to have gotten his own way in the long run. Also the gossip in the factory is that Andres had something to do with the accident.
• Godoy follows up with Andres about the burned out car they located. Andres tells him that anybody could have driven it. They just leave the keys on the windshield for the next driver.
• Jovita and Raq start searching the closets for whatever jewelry is worth selling. Jovita has a pawnshop owner as a friend and she’ll take whatever they find there for her. However, there’s a pair of valuable cuff links of Dams she cannot find. In walks SinCin and she accuses her sister of taking them. SinCin throws the money she just made at Raq and screams she swears she didn’t steal his cuff links or anything else. She’s leaving there!
As she opens the door she and Godoy share stunned expressions. Godoy asks Raq about that burned out company car and if Nacho could have driven it for any reason, or if she could have.
SinCin waits outside the gate thinking of her next move, literally. Godoy walks out and wants her there to spy on the household and fill him in. She thinks maybe she’ll try moving in with him if he’s single, He tells her he isn’t.
• Mia has been having a cutting convo with Papi and leaves. She snipes at Lola in the lobby about having told everybody. Lola explains she was only trying to get her some help. Mia hisses back she is a traitor and NOT her friend.
• Gabi shows up and enters Dam’s office. She threatens she’s not going to wait any longer to go to bed with him. She tries to seduce him, grabbing him and kissing him although he fights her off just as Lola walks up to enter for their appointment. Gabi says well, if not here, then, at my apartment we use when (we have business guests in town…..????)
Lola walks away and then takes an emergency phone call from her dad.
• Caro’s begun bleeding and they’re all at the hospital. (Don’t worry. Mom just needs rest and no family feuding. Good luck with that.)
Dam learns that Caro's in the hospital. His secretary warns him not to show up there. She'll go instead and protect his reputation.
• Andres mentions to Miriam that the police found the company car that was seen at the toll plaza on the security camera when Caro and Dam passed through. She knows, she heard. She says she hopes he didn’t have anything to do with that—or did he??? Andres is speechless for once…..
• Juan is again hanging around Lola’s front gate when she gets back from visiting Laura. He’s heap mean jealous when Bebo shows up and she gives Bebo a welcome home hug, leaving Juan alone to himself…
• Santi gets a phone call from Alina and they agree to meet later on. He’s with Raq. She tells him about the cuff links and that she doesn’t trust her sister. She mentions Godoy’s visit and the deal with the car and that they asked her if Nacho ever used that car. He asks her what she told them. Certainly she put Nacho in the clear, right. Nope. Not necessarily, from the look on her face. They begin arguing and she wants to have her space. They’re already in one of the upstairs bedrooms, I believe. So, he’s again griping that he’s never allowed to show his affections and feelings because of their kids—or whatever else she dreams up. Finally Raq gives in and they begin undressing each other and rolling on the bed. Kids be damned.
EPISODE #34, WEDNESDAY 34TH JULY.....
RELEASE OR AN END MOURNING??
We get another eyeballer of Raquel and Santiago finally having a bit of sexual satiation. Unfortunately, SN’s pillow talk is muffled due to her unique way of mumbling in such a low baritone that much is lost of the conversation. I do believe that Santi still feels guilty somehow—whether it is the lovemaking or the fact he remained blind to Damian and Carolina’s cheatin’ hearts. Can’t say. Raq is a bit negative and too clinical about what just happened between them. It could be that it has just been a means of release for the two of them, despite their obvious feelings for each other but also that their “period of mourning” is passed, but Santi doesn’t agree.
He cannot forget Caro and what she and Dam did to the both of them, destroying their lives, making fools of them, etc., nor get it out of his head. Raq does think about her past relationship with Dam also. There is no relief, perhaps it is just a momentary release for the two of them after all. They agree they love and care for one another. Oh well….nothing puts a damper on a promising relationship like continuing to bring up one’s past bedtime habitués.
Bebo gives Lola the rundown of his past couple of years away. He was caught by ICE and thrown in jail for being an illegal immigrant. He’s out now. (FF>>)
Godoy loans out his old apartment to Cinthia. SinCin is shocked he doesn’t want some sort of sexual favor in return.
Laura argues with Antonio over reopening Pati’s suicide case. The letter she wrote shows that she was involved with 2 men who were abusing and threatening her. Lola’s current squeeze, Juan, is aggressive and violent at times. So, it is reasonable to consider that if it wasn’t Juan, it very well could have been Michael, and he is a close friend of Andres Becker. And these two very well could be responsible for Carolina’s death and the accident in general. Dun-dun-dun-dunnnnn!
Tonio is suspicious of her meddling. “--Do you want justice or just a shocking headline???” He scolds her saying if she really wanted justice, she wouldn’t go nosing around her husband’s files and phone messages, second guessing their work and blasting it all over the news, impeding their investigation like she’s been. (Boy! Tonio is just racking up points all over the place, here. Keep it up, dude!) She’d be better off working with them in finding the guilty parties. She tells him he hasn’t the right to talk to her about justice. When she came to him looking for justice, she got bupkis. He gave her the cold shoulder. She’s getting revenge, but it’s not clear to Viewerville on whom, and how it is actually justice at the same time.
Juan skulks around a park/school entrance?? He watches as a guy and his girlfriend chat with her. He gets jealous of the guy since he handed her a flower. He forces Lola to go back to his apartment and make love to him. He’s affectionate until she’s on her way out the door when he accuses her again of cheating on him and/ or being insincere. She walks away.
At los Alvarado, Caro’s getting secret messages about how she’s doing from Dam. She tells him to stop texting her. He is distraught. He calls Raq who’s on her way to see Caro. Let him know what’s what, he tells Raq. BTW, he misses his wife and wants to hang with her-- “—for a change? It’s been a while! Fine, I will call you when I leave.”
Santi comes in to Caro’s bedroom. He’s going to spend the day with her. No thanks! Doesn’t he have to be at that job site. Well, then, he’ll wait for one of the kids to get back. Raq shows up and Santi’s headed back to Gabriela’s to supervise.
Raq giggles and guffaws over Baby Alvarado. She’d love to have another, she confides to Caro, but hubby hates the idea. Oh? Caro’s got food for thought with that bit of news.
At the manse, Federico has tortoise-itis, it seems, interpreting make-out signals from Simone whose obviously ready to go the full round of bases with him. She’s finally got to get back home. He’s going to see her to the door, but Mia rudely intervenes and practically throws her out and down the stares with one nasty look. “—She knows the way out!” Fede backs down. Simone exits and leaves the two of them grousing. Mia wants to know if he’s slept with her. (WTF?)
Later on, Lola gets home after Raq has left. She tells Caro that she saw Dam at the office but didn’t get a chance to talk to him before going to the hospital about her and the baby. Anyway, he was all nice and cosy acting with that Gabriela woman her dad’s got a job with.
Michael pays a visit to Andres, meanwhile, to let off steam about Pati and her demands. He’s not “in love” to answer Andres’ question. But, the girl wants more and more from him and if he doesn’t leave his wife for her she’ll tell his wife all about their relationship. Andres warns him he’ll have to get rid of her somehow. Mike says nope, not like that. Forget he even mentioned it at all. Andres licks his lips lasciviously. “—Well, if you need to get rid of her, well, you know….”
Santi shows up at Gabi’s house to supervise. She sneers at him. “--Bout time.”
Dam gets a call from Gabi threatening him that he’d better meet him at the apartment or she’ll give a tape of her convo with the unsuspecting Augustin to Raquel. He tries to wriggle out of it but nope, he’s going to have to go.
Caro swallows her anger till Lola’s gone and then calls Dam to bawl him out for only taking 2 days apart before latching onto another squeeze. He tries to tell her she’s got it all wrong. The woman knows about their affair and is blackmailing him. He’s doing what he can to keep her from spilling their frijoles. He starts to explain but Caro hangs up on him. He races off to the apartment.
Fede tells Nico that Simone interests him but he isn’t a fast mover like Nico.
At Gabi’s apartment, she’s dressed in a trench coat and her naughty lace knickers. She pours wine for the two of them. Dam tries to explain there isn’t going to be any blackmail. He doesn’t want to head to bed with her. “—I don’t want a mistress.” “—Oh, that’s right. You already have one.” “—That’s a mistaken conclusion of your own making!” Just then there is a click from a key in the outer lock of the front door. Dam races into the bedroom and listens from behind the wall next to the doorway. Charles (??) has a female companion with him—a little afternoon delight? He is surprised to see his wife dressed like she is with two glasses poured. “—W-what are you doing here dressed like that?

EPISODE #35, THURSDAY 19TH JULY....
GABRIELA CONDEMNS CHRISTIAN FOR HER SINS, & NO AMOUNT OF RICE WILL FIX THAT PHONE
After Christian walks into the apartment with his lover, Gabriela argues with him about cheating on her (the nerve). He tells her that she was doing the same, she denies it and then he says “why are you dressed like that (as she buttons up her coat)?” She calls his lover a “zorra” (derogatory name for a woman that sleeps around) and the “zorra” defends her self. Gabriela tells her to shut up and then walks away leaving Christian and the Zorra in the apartment. Christian suspects that Gabriella was waiting for a man, without realizing that Damian the coward is hiding inside. Christian and his lover leave, and Damian comes out of hiding only to drop Gabriela’s cellphone in the water in order to get rid of the recording Gabriela made of Agustin.
Present time:Santi goes to Alina’s office to pay for her services; she tells him that she is going to defend him for "free". She has a personal conflict against Ruedas and will gladly go against him for free. And besides if Ruedas is defending the Becker family they must be trying to cover up something dirty. She then says “I suspect they may be partially responsible for Carolina’s death."
Cynthia is in Godoy’s apartment serving him a drink. She is glad he stayed. He tells her that he cheated on Laura; Cynthia says that “we all cheat because we can become attracted to people who are not our partner.” Godoy confesses that he is no good because not only did he cheat on Laura but he is also the reason why she limps.
Bebo is at the Alvarado home explaining that life in the US is different, there is more nightlife but it was also very hard. He believed in the US as the land of opportunity but he worked very hard for very little money, and besides things are more expensive in the US. He is getting ready to leave and Lola and Nico tell him to stay because his father may come by. He does not think so because “haven’t you heard that the police suspect him of killing your mother” Nico and Lola had not heard that and have a look of disbelief when he tells them this.
Miriam shows up to see Raquel and makes insinuation about Santi having been there earlier. She tells Raquel she is there to give her back what belongs to her, money credit cards everything but all she asks is to be able to take Damian to her house.
IN THE PAST
The Beckers go visit the Alvardos. They bring food and want to spend some quality time with Carol. Raquel tells Santi to go help with dinner. Damian takes this opportunity alone with Carol to explain to her that nothing happened with Gabriela. “She is threatening to tell Raquel everything; I was just trying to contain her” “Oh so you pay my brother off with money, and you will sleep with Gabriella to keep her quiet."
Mia is in Lola’s room and she tells Lola that she does not like everyone talking about her problems. “If you want to help me, you will cover up for me when I go out”. Lola does not think that is a good idea, and she should get help to try and stop hurting herself. Mia tells her that she is just jealous of her and her family because they have Money. Lola says no, money means nothing, “I’m just sad that you hurt yourself”
Damian continues hounding Carol, asks how is the baby?
Later they sit down at the dinner table and Raquel brings up the subject of Gabriela and her cheating husband. Santi makes a comment about how Gabriela is too much, “she even came on to me” Carol than says “what are you saying Santi?” He then says “she flirted with me” Carol says “why did you not mention it to me?” “it was no big deal” Then they try to change the conversation and Santi says he would never, ever cheat on Carol. Carol looks at Damian and Damian is very nervous about the conversation, he wants to change the subject, but Raquel says they are not doing anything wrong just having a conversation amongst friends.
In Nico’s room he tells Fede “I don’t know how to help Mia” Fede confesses he does not know either, he is just finding out himself about Mia. He then tells Nico that they have a connection that only twins understand “when she feels sick, I feel sick and when I feel sick, she feels sick.” That’s why he won’t kiss a girl because he feels that Mia would know. Nico tells him that is silly and just ignore Mia, live your own life.
Back at the dinner table Santi says that people who are unfaithful are cowards” He then looks at Carol and says “my love I would never do that to you” Carol then turns to Santi and says “After what we have gone through, I feel I have found you again, I fell in lovewith you again” Damian pays attention to what she is saying, Santi tells Carol “you are the best woman, I love you” Then they kiss. Raquel then turns to Damian, “what do you feel for me?”
Mia tells Lola about the call she answered from Carol and tells Lola that her mother is a “mosquita muerta” or a fake. Well Lola has one better and tells Mia that she saw Damian and Gabriela in a compromising position. “So before you come and accuse my mother, look at your own parents”
Damian tells Raquel that she is the woman that helped him succeed, that she makes him who he is and that she is the mother of his kids (he does not say he loves her) but Raquel cuts him off and says she loves him (will she ever learn?)
That night in bed Dam tells Raquel that she is beautiful and more with those glasses she is wearing. “It’s time that we get closer again” Raquel asks him “are you still in love with me? “Of course I love you” he replies. He gets on top of her and they make love.
In the Alvarado’s bedroom Santi thanks Carol for saying what she said. Carol tells Santi to forgive her, Santi says there is nothing to forgive, you are better than me, he then leans over and kisses her stomach.
Mia walks in to Feds room and says “My dad is cheating on mom”, Fede responds “what makes you say that? “Lola saw Gabriela and dad very close in his office”
Azucena tells Damian that she has already sent Gabriella a new phone, without anyone noticing.
Christian stops by Damian's office and Damian wonders why. He says that Gabriela kicked him out of the house, but it is ironic because she caught him with his lover, and at the same time he knows she was in the apartment waiting for a man. He is glad he did not see the man otherwise he would have killed him.
At Gabriela’s house Santi is telling all his workers to keep it down because they don’t want Gabriela to be disturbed. Raquel than gets there and Santi wonders why, she explains that "Gabriela called her because she needs a friend after what Christian did to her”
At the basketball court, Nico and Fede are talking and Fede confesses that he thinks his father has a lover.
Gabriella and Raquel are having a heart to heart. And Raquel tells Gabriella, since you guys are swingers and sleep around, why are you making such a big deal about Christian having a lover.?“That is different, we are supposed to be open about it and not lie to our partner, he lied to me” Raquel does not understand her and says “you were flirting with Santi, so why are you so uptight about Christian doing the same” Well it’s different because Santi only has eyes for one woman” “yes his wife” “no Raquel you sure are blind, he is obviously dying to be with you” Raquel tries to process what she just heard.
Juan walks Lola to work, and again has a little jealousy attack and tells her he does not want any dudes to be looking at her, she tells him I am with you not any other “dudes”
Dam doing what irresponsible people do goes to see Carol, he wants to be near her and the baby “If I’m not near you my life will be ruined” “you have Gabriela” Damian denies it then she says “Don’t lie to me, I love you but we can’t be with each other” “but the baby is mine” Carol then replies, “we do not know that”
At Alina’s office Santi says he has to leave because Bebo is at his house and wants to go see him. Alina says “oh I’m glad, he has not come to see me yet” “oh is that so, well why don’t you go see him at my house” “oh that’s such a great Idea” Alina follows Santi home with the pretext that she wants to see Bebo.
Ruedas is at Antonio’s trying to dig some information from Antonio, but Antonio will not tell him anything. (yeah right) He tells him that there was no DNA, no fingerprints, he tells him he knows that Andres had money problems at the company…and if we had stayed there longer he would have divulged much more information. (Incompetent cops at this station are a dime a dozen I swear)
At Santi’s house he arrives, immediately followed by Alina who walks with him inside his house, as Raquel watches from her car, she looks defeated.

Lola says no, money means nothing, “I’m just sad that you hurt yourself”
Damian continues hounding Carol, asks how is the baby?
Later they sit down at the dinner table and Raquel brings up the subject of Gabriela and her cheating husband. Santi makes a comment about how Gabriela is too much, “she even came on to me” Carol than says “what are you saying Santi?” He then says “she flirted with me” Carol says “why did you not mention it to me?” “it was no big deal” Then they try to change the conversation and Santi says he would never, ever cheat on Carol. Carol looks at Damian and Damian is very nervous about the conversation, he wants to change the subject, but Raquel says they are not doing anything wrong just having a conversation amongst friends.
In Nico’s room he tells Fede “I don’t know how to help Mia” Fede confesses he does not know either, he is just finding out himself about Mia. He then tells Nico that they have a connection that only twins understand “when she feels sick, I feel sick and when I feel sick, she feels sick.” That’s why he won’t kiss a girl because he feels that Mia would know. Nico tells him that is silly and just ignore Mia, live your own life.
Back at the dinner table Santi says that people who are unfaithful are cowards” He then looks at Carol and says “my love I would never do that to you” Carol then turns to Santi and says “After what we have gone through, I feel I have found you again, I fell in lovewith you again” Damian pays attention to what she is saying, Santi tells Carol “you are the best woman, I love you” Then they kiss. Raquel then turns to Damian, “what do you feel for me?”
Mia tells Lola about the call she answered from Carol and tells Lola that her mother is a “mosquita muerta” or a fake. Well Lola has one better and tells Mia that she saw Damian and Gabriela in a compromising position. “So before you come and accuse my mother, look at your own parents”
Damian tells Raquel that she is the woman that helped him succeed, that she makes him who he is and that she is the mother of his kids (he does not say he loves her) but Raquel cuts him off and says she loves him (will she ever learn?)
That night in bed Dam tells Raquel that she is beautiful and more with those glasses she is wearing. “It’s time that we get closer again” Raquel asks him “are you still in love with me? “Of course I love you” he replies. He gets on top of her and they make love.
In the Alvarado’s bedroom Santi thanks Carol for saying what she said. Carol tells Santi to forgive her, Santi says there is nothing to forgive, you are better than me, he then leans over and kisses her stomach.
Mia walks in to Feds room and says “My dad is cheating on mom”, Fede responds “what makes you say that? “Lola saw Gabriela and dad very close in his office”
Azucena tells Damian that she has already sent Gabriella a new phone, without anyone noticing.
Christian stops by Damian's office and Damian wonders why. He says that Gabriela kicked him out of the house, but it is ironic because she caught him with his lover, and at the same time he knows she was in the apartment waiting for a man. He is glad he did not see the man otherwise he would have killed him.
At Gabriela’s house Santi is telling all his workers to keep it down because they don’t want Gabriela to be disturbed. Raquel than gets there and Santi wonders why, she explains that "Gabriela called her because she needs a friend after what Christian did to her”
At the basketball court, Nico and Fede are talking and Fede confesses that he thinks his father has a lover.
Gabriella and Raquel are having a heart to heart. And Raquel tells Gabriella, since you guys are swingers and sleep around, why are you making such a big deal about Christian having a lover.?“That is different, we are supposed to be open about it and not lie to our partner, he lied to me” Raquel does not understand her and says “you were flirting with Santi, so why are you so uptight about Christian doing the same” Well it’s different because Santi only has eyes for one woman” “yes his wife” “no Raquel you sure are blind, he is obviously dying to be with you” Raquel tries to process what she just heard.
Juan walks Lola to work, and again has a little jealousy attack and tells her he does not want any dudes to be looking at her, she tells him I am with you not any other “dudes”
Dam doing what irresponsible people do goes to see Carol, he wants to be near her and the baby “If I’m not near you my life will be ruined” “you have Gabriela” Damian denies it then she says “Don’t lie to me, I love you but we can’t be with each other” “but the baby is mine” Carol then replies, “we do not know that”
- PRESENT TIME
At Alina’s office Santi says he has to leave because Bebo is at his house and wants to go see him. Alina says “oh I’m glad, he has not come to see me yet” “oh is that so, well why don’t you go see him at my house” “oh that’s such a great Idea” Alina follows Santi home with the pretext that she wants to see Bebo.
Ruedas is at Antonio’s trying to dig some information from Antonio, but Antonio will not tell him anything. (yeah right) He tells him that there was no DNA, no fingerprints, he tells him he knows that Andres had money problems at the company…and if we had stayed there longer he would have divulged much more information. (Incompetent cops at this station are a dime a dozen I swear)
At Santi’s house he arrives, immediately followed by Alina who walks with him inside his house, as Raquel watches from her car, she looks defeated.
