WEDNESDAY 11TH JULY, 2018...UPDATE ON "PRINCESS WEIYOUNG"

EPISODE #03

SHOWN ON JOY PRIME @9:00PM

The drama begins with Weiyang’s servants admiring her big room as Weiyang looks at her surroundings.

We then listen to the conversation between the 2nd and 3rd concubine saying how there will be a new show to watch due to Weiyang’s appearance and lack of etiquette. However, 3rd concubine does not say anything which annoyed the 2nd who walked away with a huff.

Meanwhile, Changxi (green) talks about Changle, compliment on how great she is and how she gets amazing things. Changru (blue) then asks why does she demean Weiyang so much which Changxi replies: “Because DaJie likes to hear it”. – Dajie (older sister) is Changle.

The scene then changes to Weiyang getting etiquette lessons from Da Furen’s servant, Chun Ming (the one who got slapped). Chun Ming’s smugness and arrogance shows that she has something up her sleeve as she purposely tries to get opportunities to demean Weiyang. After making Weiyang spill hot tea, Chun Ming decided Weiyang has to learn from the very beginning: bowing lessons.

Whilst Weiyang repeatedly bows, Chun Ming quickly gets out a whip and whips Weiyang at every opportunity. OH, I got so excited when Weiyang caught the whip and begins to whip Chun Ming instead. SERVES HER RIGHT!

Whilst she gets the whipping, we see Weiyang’s servants eagarly enjoying this.

The scene then shows both the girls kneeling down in front of their elders, as they are given the opportunity to explain the situation. Chun Ming immediately tries to gain sympathy by saying how she tried to help Weiyang learn the etiquettes but Weiyang wasn’t appreciative of it.

Weiyang then rebuts and says how Chun Ming was so forceful with her beatings which is hard since she came form the countryside where she didn’t learn etiquette in the first place. She even shows off her wounds from Chun Ming’s whips which made the grandma mad. Da Furen then had no choice but to make Chun Ming apologise to Weiyang. YAY!

Later in her room, Wei Yang tells her servants that she can’t have them bullying her which is why she has to teach everyone a lesson.

One of her servants then tell her that her grandma’s 60th birthday is coming soon and she should find a good present for her.

Not forgetting her revenge, Wei Yang  asks, “Will my brother, Li Min Feng be there?” They say yes.

Meanwhile, we see Li Ming Feng trying to gain favour with Tuo Ba Yu (Vanness Wu).

Then it’s Grandma’s birthday. Chang Ru, Chang Xi, and Chang Le all bow before Granny before revealing their presents. Chang Ru gifted granny a Bai Xiu Tu which is quite meaningful as it shows that she wishes her granny to have a long life. Chang Ru then goes on to say how she did this personally and it took her three months. WHOA!

Chang Le then steals the thunder as she reveals an extravagant version of her Bai Xiu Tu.

poor Chang Ru, even her mother agrees: “Ugh the hate! She (Chang Le) has probably never lifted a finger in her life. You toiled away for three full months and yet she brought this to shame us.”

Then, we hear drumming outside the room and they all went out to see Weiyang’s lion dance performance. Tuo Ba Yu also makes an appearance with General Li, watching the performance. When Weiyang spotted them, she imagined herself killing him but too bad it was just a dream. But we do see Chang Ru eyeing Tuo Ba yu..

The lion dance performance ends as Weiyang pulls out the scrolls of longevity out of the lion’s mouth which raised applause and smiles from everyone, except the mother and daughter (you know who).
