Wellllllll..it would seem that Orlando is Hell bent on cashing in on other people’s strife with his proof of life that Ana Lucia is alive!!!!!!! He tells Ramiro he wants A-Lucky’s rich relatives to ante up antes or nothin’ doin’. Ram feels deceived! Well he was, says Orly. She’s his friend and he only wanted to protect her and he was scared for her! Ram says show me this photo or I go. Ok. Orly opens his phone and shows him a photo of A-Lucky at a danse class rehearsal. Wow! The likeness! It’s her! She really is alive! Oh, and BTW, she has no memory of the accident Ram’s been talking about. Oka, then why is she still called Ana Lucia if she doesn’t have any memory of her past? Seems she was wearing some bracelet with her name on it.
Ok. So, Ana-Lu is having problems concentrating on her new acrobatic project. AniBal, aka AniBaldy, screams at her that her friend has her head on straight and so should she! Maribel secretly smiles a contemptuous grin as Ana takes it verbally on the chin. Later in break Bel beams at her friend and asks where she was and what’s going on inside her head. Ana-Lu lies that Santiago took her to San Nicolas to pick up cash owed by Dona Chana. And Orlando? Oh, they had it out with him. The guy’s nuts! He sliced Santi’s 4 tires all to hell! Just out of jealousy! “-Tough nuts! I’ve never led him on!” Well, Bel left town without word cuz she was mad at the dude for ignoring her affections. She here now with her BFF pursuing her dream!
Meanwhile, Iñaki has an appointment with the old fuddy-duddy truck-farmer Sanchez to show him property.
At the same time, Ana Laura daydreams about her sister’s wedding day and Marcelo letting her know that Ramiro feels the same about her as she does about him: totally in love! Oh! Then up rolls Valentin and chats her up about the family din-din the other night. Still has Uncle Mariano to meet and impress. They eventually kiss and Valeria happens upon her and is shocked at the girl’s fickle fling-thing. Intervention anyone? Hell yeah, thinks Valeria!
Over at The Realty Place,
Ana Leticia fakes her innocence again with Tío Mo. Forgive me? You know it was all Yaki’s fault, right? Mo isn’t so sure, but he still loves his little niece. Only, he’s tired of the temper tantrums. He doesn’t want to lose bidnez over it all. She says, well it’s just that Ana Lloro has a new beau—a guy she just met! He’s a complete stranger! Already they’re going steady! And you gotta know that no guy falls in love with a legless woman over night! He’s got to be another fortune hunter just like Ramiro!
Ok, now back to Ram and Orly’s selling selfies for some serious scratch—or thirty (thousand?) pieces of silver. Ram promises to see what he can do. Orly heads to the nearest police station and files a false police report against some taxi driver who did a hit and run. BUT, he managed to take a phone shot of the license plate! The cop goes to check the plates for the owner and driver of the cab.
At Remedios’ B&B,
The Remedy, SanMarco tries apologizing to Soledad over spending the night out with A-Lucky. She slaps him for it. “—You’re a married man and you have turned my daughter into your lover!!” He swears she is the love of his life and he’s going back only for his wife to fill in the blanks and to ask her for a divorce. Sole tells her that is about as low a trick as he could play on both of these women, neither of which deserves such treatment. What if there are kids involved also? And a whole family that’s missing him back there? He ‘ll be trapped forever and will never return! Oh, replies, SanMarco, Evaristo would have mentioned it and he didn’t. “—Evaristo never tells more than half the truth! You wouldn’t even know!” She finally admits she believes his love for A-Lucky but still he needs to face reality and not fill her head full of promises he cannot ever keep. “—You can’t deny who you were, Beltran! It’s ery much a part of you, waiting to emerge from the shadows some day. You’ve become a threat!” “—To whom? To you, Sra?” Slap! “—To my daughter!” You will break my daughter’s heart!
Over in Uptown,
another face-to-face. She wants nothing to do with him! "--Ok, Sra. But Ana Lucia is ALIVE!!!!” She stops in her truculent tracks. She’s ready to listen to the fact it was a picture of her from about a year earlier and she has such happy, laughing, eyes--until the fool stumble-bums all over himself by mentioning the guy with that picture of her that he’s seen wants cash up front.
Ernestina immediately thinks the worst of Ram for bringing up money. It’s always got to be money with him! Not a single peso!
Santi runs into A-Lu and Bel back from a day’s hard work. He has a chance to discuss what Sole asked him for but he just doesn’t. He misses the opportunity and heads off to work. Sole comes along next and says naively she’s soon to find work as a seamstress and then she’ll be able to pay for more of A-Lu’s gymnastics classes, unbeknownst to her that that’s totally unnecessary and A-Lu already works for a troupe—AniBaldy’s troupe!
Back at Erni’s,
Leo secretly offers her life savings to Ram in hopes he’ll manage to buy the photo and prove himself to the family and especially, A-Lo again.
Rich Rod-as in Rodrigo-sees an ad for seaside property and is interested in looking at it.
Valeria tells A-Lloro that something in the tale she’s told doesn’t add up. Ram just isn’t like that! AS for Tin-Tin, she’s not in love with him! Let him down easy and be done with it. Nope, she owes him the opportunity since he is the only man who makes her forget about Ramiro. She’s going to make herself love Tin-Tin.
Back at the manse,
Mo tells Erni about A-MiMi’s accusation regarding Tin-Tin. Mo learns that Erni has a past to her present as well! Yes, she was betrayed in love in the most vile way as well. Therefore, she’s determined A-Lloro won’t suffer the same fate as she. Ok. BTW, Erni, he queries, did you happen to catch this Valentin’s last name? “--Why, for some reason it just never came up! I never did ask his last name!” (Double Duh!) Oh, well never mind. It’s just something that’s been rolling around in my head. Forget it.
