EPISODE  #45 #46 #47

SHOWN ON #GTV @9:00PM

MAY I PLEASE ASK YOUR WIFE TO BE MY GIRLFRIEND?

Maribel and Ana Lu are having a very painful (for us) reconciliation session.  Ana Lu, having listened to Maribel’s venomous statements, responds with a listing of Maribel’s qualities she admires and a statement that she loves her. Maribel’s anger has disappeared, she loves Ana Lu as well, though feels sometimes that Ana Lu is distant, as if she believed herself better than Maribel. The irony of this last statement apparently washes right over Ana Lu’s head, and she spends a couple more minutes baring her soul on refusing Orlando’s advances and her current predicament with Santi until, blissfully, the scene is cut.

Ramiro and Llora somehow ended up on the topic of Tin again and Ramiro is trying to convince her she will never fall in love with Tin. Llora stubbornly defends her choice, which Ramiro needs to respect or else he should ask for a check, because she is leaving immediately. Ramiro is trying to convince her that Ana Le is the devil, but Llora’s rose-colored glasses are firmly planted on, and she responds very firmly that her sister loves her, and worries for her – of that Llora is absolutely sure. In fact, Ramiro should try her resolve and go ahead and start his life with someone new. It wouldn’t worry Llora, not even a bit.

Ramiro wants to know if she still woudn’t be worried if that someone were Ana Le. If Llora were the type to crack a smile, she would probably laugh in Ramiro’s face having heard that. As it is, she just snickers in a half-lecturing tone that it is absolutely impossible. Besides, Ana Le has never done anything to merit Ramiro’s disrespect and he was following her all these years. Llora knows it straight from the horse’s mouth.

Well, Ramiro has a bet of his own: what would Llora say, if in a space of one week he will get Ana Le to not only become his girlfriend, but to get the family to accept him again? Llora thinks she would say it’s impossible. Well, Ramiro thinks she has nothing to lose: according to her he’s been following Ana Le for years and if that is in fact so, Ana Le would never accept him. If she does, however, that would mean she’s been lying to Llora. Llora agrees and Ramiro is on. If this is the only way to get Llora to open her eyes, he will have to sacrifice himself and become Ana Le’s novio. (This is both sick and entertaining, and at least promises us an interesting week…)

Ramiro is only asking that Llora plays along when Ana Le will try to convince her and the family to accept Ramiro and that she remembers that he is only doing all of this out of love for her. He doesn’t want Ana Le to her Llora or Ana… and he almost says Ana Lu and catches himself.

Tin, meanwhile, is also not wasting any time. With fake tears streaming down his face, he recounts to Abue a sad story of Ramiro beating him up just because Tin was having coffee with Llora. And not that long ago Ramiro asked him to meet, just so he could tell Tin not to even dream of Llora’s inheritance, as that was all for Ramiro, who was fighting for it his whole life. Abue is stupefied how stupendously stupid she has been to believe Ramiro. Tin wants to make it clear he is definitely not after Llora’s money. But of course you are not, says Abue, I knew it from the moment I laid eyes on you….all of 15 minutes ago! This Ramiro I’ve known all his life, on the other hand, …oh well… at least he is out of Llora’s life. And Ana Le will put him in his place if needed. (And so all our hope that Abue got a bit of her common sense back from hitting her head during that fall has evaporated swiftly.) Has Tin told any of that to Llora? No, he thinks she will just be hurt, but he is afraid that he cannot protect her from Ramiro, being in a wheelchair and all. Never fear, Abue to the rescue and together they will make sure Llora is safe. (Surely with friends like this, you don’t need enemies…)

Ana Le made a sandwich for Mariano and wants to know all about the witch Viridiana and his visit to her. Mariano is in a mood though and is not liking Ana Le referring to Viridiana that way. He wants to help Viridiana and that sends Ana Le in a frenzy, which Mariano cuts short by saying he is not going to discuss this with her. Ana Le wants to give him a massage, but he is not having that either and snaps at her. Her facial expression of a helpless puppy is not very convincing.

Mariano needs to talk to her very seriously and is telling her to pack her bags and go home tomorrow. Her grandmother and sister need her. Ana Le tries to argue that Abue is fine and Llora has Valentin, who everyone is in love with. That is because nobody knows what he really wants, says Mariano. Ana Le needs to go, because Llora needs her. But you need me more, you are still recovering from losing Jennifer. Well, maybe he will never recover, but he lived alone his whole life, and really he needs a woman to share a life with, but that isn’t happening apparently, and in lieu of that he really doesn’t need Ana Le. Sad puppy look again and sounds like she will be sent packing.

Santiago is recounting the story of his heroic escape from the hired guns in Costa Paraiso. He felt as if he were someone else that day, and it was Marcelo who saved him. He wasn’t even afraid, every move was calculated. Santi will never forget that. Inaki and Santi also discuss that Jenny was Marcelo’s cousin (did we know that?).

Later Santi wants to get Ana Lu’s bracelet from Ramiro, but Ramiro doesn’t have it. Not to worry, he is sure Llora will give it back to her sister once they are reunited. How did you get the bracelet? Oh, it just made its way to me… (Clearly they are determined to never mention Evaristo and continue with the near misses and half-truths). Ramiro wants to know how it went with Ana Lu. It went bad. Santicello had to tell her he still loves his wife, and Inaki advised him to take Ana Lu and run away.
Ramiro thinks that would be a bad idea and Santi agrees. He could not live with himself separating Ana Lu from her family. Maybe it’s time Santicello talked to Ana Le and told her he was alive. Ramiro agrees, but there is something he needs to warn him of first. Santicello only remembers the feeling of great love, but Ana Le is not all she seems. There is something Ramiro didn’t have the courage to tell Marcelo before, but Ana Le was unfaithful to him. Santicello pounces – with whom? With me. She has been after me for years and still is, it’s something terrible. Ramiro is punched before he finishes his story and is prohibited from coming close to Ana Le. Whoa, whoa, says Ramiro, hold up a second – I am just trying to be honest with you before I ask your wife to be my girlfriend.  (Alright, who said this wasn’t a comedy? Also I think Ramiro has to find a dictionary and look up the word “unfaithful”. Then come back to this conversation)

Well, interestingly enough, Ana Lu is talking to Sole at this very time. Sole wants to know why Ana Lu was crying all night. She also wants to ask for forgiveness and tell Ana Lu how wonderful she looked at the performance and how proud Sole was. Why did she behave that way then? She was afraid of losing Ana Lu one day, she made so many mistakes, and she doesn’t know how to correct them. She got a job at the boutique, but doesn’t know if she’ll keep it for those reasons. Ana Lu does not ask any follow up questions, even though not a single one of those “reasons” was sensible. Sole continues with lamenting that she doesn’t even know why she brought Ana Lu here to Mexico City. Well, Ana Lu does – it was because Sole was sick (sickness that was conveniently forgotten by everyone, might we add, but why spoil our fairy-tale plot). Never mind that, Ana Lu suggests they pick up and move somewhere, where Sole would feel calm and Ana Lu could forget Santiago. Is she sure? Yes, she is. She would do anything to see Sole happy and will leave her dancing group if that is what Sole wants. They will leave as soon as Sole finishes work for Viridiana, for which she was already paid, and they will go very far away.

Well while that was happening, Ramiro and Marcelo’s (who continues insisting his name is Santiago) conversation is not going anywhere. Ramiro tries to ask forgiveness for the kiss years ago and Santicello calls him a coward. Santicello doesn’t understand  - all Ramiro is trying to do is recover the love of his life by becoming Marcelo’s wife’s lover! Santicello isn’t buying it, and for once we are with him – that does sound ridiculous, even for a triplet story. Well, Ramiro promises nothing will happen between him and Ana Le, but he is giving Santi the benefit of the doubt with the whole “I am in love with two women at the same time” plot, and he wants the same benefit given to him. Besides, it would be helpful for Santicello to realize who Ana Le, his wife, really is, before he will tell her he is alive.

Ana Le is back home, supposedly because Mariano needs to learn to solve his problems on his own. Llora comes to see her, they talk some about Ana Le’s dreams and Llora asks her if she was ever interested in Ramiro. The answer is, of course, no. Thank goodness they have very different tastes.
Ana Le is still very upset with Mariano’s snub and drops his photograph. Llora realizes that Ana Le did not leave of her own accord, but rather was asked to leave, and must have fought with Mariano. Ana Le starts to sob that she didn’t want to leave, he needs her, but he told her he didn’t. Llora is shocked and consoles her.

Ana Lu is telling Remedios she will miss her and vice versa. Doesn’t look like Rem is feeling any pangs of conscience to tell Ana Lu any part of the truth, though she does want to know what to tell Santiago when he comes looking. Ana Lu doesn’t think that will happen, she talked to him, he loves his wife and she will not come in the middle of it. Though here is the address where he is staying, you can talk to him yourself.

Early next morning Santiago is putting on a suit, a tie and excessive amounts of gel in his hair to become…Marcelo. Then he breaks into Inaki’s apartment and stands in the middle of it, asking Marcelo to help him remember. Very conveniently, a memory appears, and it is one of Marcelo arguing with Ana Le after that weekend when she asked for divorce. She tells him that she loves him, but things that are important to her don’t matter to him, and so she will not stay with him, especially if he insists on trying to find Ana Lu. Marcelo wants to know what Ana Le is capable of to prevent him from finding her sister. She is capable of everything. Marcelo is shocked and Santiago is scared

TUESDAYS 3RD JULY, 2018.......EPISODE

EPISODE #46

FORMER ENEMIES FIRST DATES & A VIRGIN WIG'S FATE.........

We continue where we left off as Santi dressed as Marcelo has a flashback. Remembering Ramiro's words, he ponders why Leticia wants a divorce & doesn't want him to find Lucia.

Cue the devil herself, Ana Lucifer barges into her grandmother's room while Ernestina is checking her Tinder. Just as abruptly as she entered, she asks her what she's up to. Ernestina lies & says it's just a message from Miranda (but we all expect it's someone that may or may not rhyme with BRodrigo....or *crosses fingers* BEvaristo!). Leticia says she came back for her. Ernestina calls her out & says she thought she wanted to stay w/ her uncle. Leticia says in spite of him begging her to stay, she knew that her abue needed her more. Gag me. She then asks for the earrings Ernestina gave to Jenny to match a dress she bought. Indeed, Leticia's heart is more frigid than the body that hasn't even gone cold yet.
Inaki asks the secretary about the key he gave her. Lucky for him, she hadn't had a chance to give it back to Leticia. He concocts some story about needing her to run urgent files he needs signed. He rummages in her desk for the key & like Jaime Bond, he goes through Leticia's drawer. I'm not sure if he's looking for money or is just being a nosy stalker. As usual not to let us down, the writers include a near-miss with the passport as he puts everything back.

We return to Ernestina inviting Leticia to eat with the family. Leticia says she has plans to have dinner w/ Inaki. Instead, we see her head to a salon to get a Llora makeover. The hairdresser comments that the hair is virgin (ohohoho, much like our Llora. I bet the writers thought they were clever for that one). She limps while modeling the Llora wig and I can only imagine what trouble she plans to cause. I'm guessing this might be one of the ways Ramiro's plan will backfire on him.

Remedios gets dropped off at Santi's place by the only Taxista left in Mexico. He tells her to ask Santi to come visit & that the taxista team (of one?) misses him. Santi as Marcelo gets another flashback entering Alfredo's car. Alfredo asks about the confrontation & Santi responds that she's not telling the truth regarding why she wants a divorce (having expected her to come clean about her affair w/ Daniel). He asks for marriage advice, but Alfredo says not to ask him as he's lied to his wife (Remedios) for so long. Alfredo mentions his intention to do better by her & that he owes Marcelo alot after what he's done for him. Marcelo then sees Daniel, to which Alfredo asks what he plans. Marcelo cocks his gun exclaiming that he plans to kill him, kill them both. End flashback & we see him face-to-face w/ his madrina. She's shocked to see him as he is, he explains he just recalled a memory & remembers her hubby.

We see Inaki in Mission Impossible Part Dos. He finally sees the passport & connects that Ana Leprosa was in Costa paraiso on June 9th, the day Jen died. His reaction is very nonchalant & I'm left wondering if he's suspicious at all or if he had already suspected as such. Llora then interrupts his musings & is calling him b/c she can't reach Leticia, but finds out Leticia lied about having dinner w/ Inaki. "White feather", as Inaki calls him, went to grab some din-din so he has the secretary check jefe's desk for those signed papers while Inaki swiftly puts the key back.

Ramiro gets a call from a nervous Llora & immediately recognizes her voice (maybe Letonta won't be as successful playing Llora after all?). He confesses he's got a date w/ Leticia. Llora is shocked, but he confirms it's not the 1st lie Letonta has told them & it won't be the last. Just then, Llora hears Leti's arrival & is left wondering what's going on. She calls Leticia who explains that they misunderstood her plans. She's out w/ Daniel, not Inaki. (Busted like a boosted buster in a busty bustier!)

Remedios and Santicelo are discussing his attire. She didn't recognize him, especially b/c he hates ties. And it's not just his attire, it's his eyes & gaze. "Ana Lu was right, you're not the same". He says he's dressed as Marcelo to help his recollection. But it's only fragments that makes him feel even more trapped & confuzzled. She asks what she can do. The sad music starts. In tears, he cries "I just need you to hug me, I feel scared...and lonely." (AWWWWW. AS I MENTALLY PUSH REM OUT OF THE WAY, T HUG MY TV..., πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
*WHISPERS*  IT'S OK SANTI, ANNA IS HERE πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ😎😎 *SMOOSHES BOOBS EVEN CLOSER*)πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Anibal tries to convince Ana Lu to not give up on her dreams, or otherwise end up in regret. He offers to speak to her mom, but she insists Solebad is stubborn. He then offers double her pay but it's still not enough to sway her.

Ramiro gets a little strokey as he confesses to LeTeaseYa that her words affected him & wonders what would've happened if Llora hadn't shown up that day. She responds that she knows exactly what would've happened (yeah, it ends with leaving money on the nightstand). Too bad he ditched her for Llora. He admits that for so long he's had his heart on Llora, but he can't seem to resist this attraction he feels for her. LetsGettitOn replies she only needs 1 night. He says he can't accept that, but that fires her up even more. She likes that he's a good guy, but mischief makes the fondling grow heartier. He accepts this based on the fact he's resigned himself to friendship w/ Llora & respecting her relationship w/ Villantin. He laments they could never have a real relationship b/c of of her family. He explains how alike they are in their losses, She interjects that she's not capable of being satisfied. He feels that while everyone else finds happiness, she could too with someone who can make her find love again. She gets sad & talks of an impossible love (her mind seems to wander off). When he inquires who it is, she catches herself & claims that it is him. She says it's impossible as he is her "Amor Prohibido" (Star-Crossed Lover). He puts it that she made it impossible by turning everyone against him. She says it's nothing she can't fix. He says he wants her to be his partner, in front of the whole world. She's got a big Cheshire grin.

Mariano bumps into Viridiana (Sue) and invites her to dine w/ him. She's not so willing as she has alot to do. He says he had his lawyer cancel the eviction, so she has more time & he'll throw in real-estate advice, free of charge! She laughs & finally concedes. They have a nice dinner where she makes sure he knows she doesn't play around. He says he now has a different view of her than he expected. She hopes to erase her perception of him too. They find out they have similar taste in food! Giggles and googly eyes.  In the background, cupid is shooting arrows like it's the Hunger Games!

Santicelo and Rem discuss her hubster. He explains that he and Evaristo were employees of his, but there's alot he still doesn't understand. His real name is certain. They both also confess their knowledge about the triplets and that Solebad always knew who he was, which is why she didn't want him near Ana Lu. And that's why he needs to stop her before they leave the city!

WEDNESDAY 4TH JULY, 2018 EPISODE

EPISODE #47

A BUDDING ROMANCE & A BUDDING AFFAIR

MARIANO & VIRIDIANA

Finishing up a very pleasant dinner, Mariano makes a – what he regards as – #GENTLEMANLY #ATTEMPT #TO #PAY #FOR #DINNER.
Viridiana wants to go halfsies , as she is an independent woman. Mariano concedes. Viridiana gives him an option to back out from the visit to a potential locale for her store, but he is very excited to see it. Truth be told, she is looking forward to getting his opinion as well. Well, isn’t that fortuitous and a fun coincidence, as he is looking forward to dispensing said opinion!

Having finished smoking their peace pipe, they are off to see the potential new spot. Viridiana likes it, but hold on – where is the owner? She is getting ready to start another rant, this time on the topic of punctuality, when Mariano confesses that he is the actual owner. The rant takes a sharp turn to “are you trying to be my rescuer” and “I will do it all myself, don’t you think I have a plan B!”, and finally ends with another lighting of the peace pipe once Mariano manages to calm her down.

At the end of the episode Viridiana shows up at Mariano’s office to sign the papers. Post-signing she gets up to leave and drops some papers. They both bend to pick them up, she touches his hand, there is a spark and a long drawn out stare. It is during this time that Ana Le shows up with a question to ask Mariano, observes this scene through the glass door and by the looks of it, is certainly not pleased.

ANA LE & RAMIRO

These two continued to play their little cat and mouse game, except it is yet unclear which one is the cat, and which is the mouse.

Ramiro would like to think that he is the cat, luring Ana Le into the trap with a piece of cheese – there is just one difficulty. He has not quite figured out what type of cheese Ana Le would deem worthy going after, so he is shooting in every direction: they discuss Llora and how badly she would feel, he makes sure to compliment  Ana Le’s sensitivities when she claims to love her sister, tells her again that he has such deep feelings and is finding a whole new person in her.

Ana Le is almost ready to call his bluff though. She thinks he is just doing that to make Llora jealous, so she won’t bite. Ramiro tries to convince her that Llora doesn’t have anything to do with it. Isn’t he worried what Llora would think? Well, of course he is, but Llora would just have to deal with it. (I personally think that argument makes no sense whatsoever, but it’s not me he needs to convince to become his girlfriend). Ana Le is ready to agree, with the only condition – they keep it a secret. No dice, says Ramiro, it’s all or nothing. Ana Le will have to think about it and thusly they part.

Next morning Ramiro calls Ana Le to let her know he was thinking about her all night. She talks all softly to him in front of Inaki at work and agrees to dinner that same night. Inaki is suspicious and wants to know who that was.

LLORA & TIN

Llora is still unable to concentrate on Tin and this doesn’t escape his attention. Llora explains she is just worried because Ana Le has not returned from dinner yet. Tin points out that Ana Le is a big girl and Llora can’t control her. (That is exactly what she is worried about , Tin.) Tin thinks Llora is too dependent on her family and she needs to mature and perhaps even live alone. Oh no, Llora couldn’t do that. What about Tin – does he miss his family? He lost them a long time ago, just like Llora. Llora reminisces how wonderful it would have been to have her mother next to her again, hear her voice. Tin looks guilty and uncomfortable.

After what must have seemed as a century to absent-minded Llora, Tin is ready to leave. Just as he is trying (for the umpteenth time that night) to butter Llora up, Llora responds with a phrase any potential suitor loves to hear: “My grandmother loves when you visit, so please come again.” Ana Le shows up from her dinner with “Daniel”, thus saving Llora from necessity to elaborate. Llora immediately switches gears: How was Ana Le’s dinner? Does she like Daniel now? What did he say? What did Ana Le buy that she has in a bag?

Ana Le responds to a few of these – dinner was fine. Daniel spent the whole time trying to convince her to give him another chance. Of course, she doesn’t care about Daniel, but maybe the time has come to pick another boyfriend from one of her multiple suitors. With that statement, Ana Le is off to her room.

Llora quickly shoves Tin into a car and calls Ramiro to report that Ana Le says “Daniel” told her he loves her and wants to be together. Ramiro confirms, that’s what they agreed on. He will follow through till the end. Llora doesn’t want to play any more – she feels bad tricking Ana Le and besides, she is sure Ana Le will not betray her. Ana Le already did, points out Ramiro and Llora needs to see it.

RAMIRO & SANTICELO

Ramiro returns home and Santicelo wants to know how the dinner went and if he kissed his wife for dessert. Dinner went very well, and Ramiro will do as promised – there will be nothing between him and Ana Le. (Exactly how he is planning to convince the over-sexed Ana Le to become his girlfriend without any physical contact is probably best left in the telenovela mystery category. What would he do when she says yes though – kiss her on the forehead and hold her hand?).

Santicelo shares a memory of Ana Le asking for a divorce and the fact that she was cheating on him. He saw the guy in his memory from behind and isn’t entirely sure it wasn’t Ramiro. Ramiro denies it, but Santi is not convinced. You may not believe me, but at least you are beginning to see who Ana Le is, says Ramiro. You once did the same for me and opened my eyes on to the real identity of my fiancΓ©.

Whether Santicelo is satisfied with these arguments or not, next time we see him, he is chatting with Remedios over the phone. Remedios reports that Ana Lu is still leaving, though she was able to talk to her about Santi. Santi wants to see her. He cannot, says Remedios, until he resolves his situation. Divorce, then show up. Santi needs time. Well, it turns out that is the one thing he does not have.

ANA LE & HER MYSTERIOUS OPERATION "LLORA"

Ana Le tries the wig on in her room. Looks very unnatural, but she seems satisfied.

Next day she shows up at the rehabilitation center to talk to Valeria about Tin. What is his story? Llora has suffered for Ramiro enough and Ana Le is concerned for her sister and doesn’t want her to be hurt.

LIFE @ THE HOSTEL

Nerina comes over to talk to Ana Lu at Anibal’s behest. They share each other’s sad stories: Nerina has spent all her money on the sick husband, and didn’t tell her kids how tight things were, and in the end she was asked to move out of the house. It was then that she came to this hostel. Ana Lu thinks sadness should be shared to make the person feel better. Wouldn’t you want to see your kids, asks Ana Lu? Nerina says she would not. She wanted to talk about Ana Lu though, and her career at Danzaire. Well, Ana Lu is moving for the same reason as Nerina’s – a broken heart.

Next Ana Lu goes to sun tan a bit, and Orlando catches up with her. He wants to follow Ana Lu wherever she goes, but she is not too keen on the idea.

Having left Orlando (she is surely having a busy day!), Ana Lu runs into Remedios. The latter puts in a good word about Santiago – he has not talked to his wife yet, he has not dared as he is still in love with Ana Lu. Ana Lu should talk to him, as this is all very complicated. Ana Lu does not know what to think.

She still has not made up her mind, and when Sole tells her she would need up to another week to finish the work for Viridiana, Ana Lu is happy for the delay. Sole worries Ana Lu changed her mind.
Ana Le comes back to Nerina’s with a basket with sweets in tow. They chat and bond. Nerina finishes her sad story of how her own kids sued her. Ana Lu is incredulous and consoles Nerina.

(Side q: so where do we think Eric del Castillo is? It was his birthday a couple days ago, maybe he is on a binge celebrating? We really need him back for some plot action.)
