"THE THREE FACES OF ANA"...EPISODE #11...08/05/18

TUESDAY 8TH MAY, 2018....UPDATE ON "THE THREE FACES OF ANA"

EPISODE #11

SHOWN ON GTV @9: 00PM

We begin again with Ana Le reminiscing with Ramiro and Ramiro telling her he decided to ask Ana Laura for her hand. This does not go over well with Ana Le. She asks him if he wants to spend the rest of his life with an invalid, and when he scorns at her, she kisses him. Of course, as the telenovela genre has it, this is the moment that Ana Llora (this nick is so appropriate, Jardinera!) enters, sees them, and even though Ramiro pushes Ana Leticia away, Ana Llora saw all she needed to see.

Ramiro realizes she is there, wants to talk, she is already wiping away tears though and does not want to listen. She leaves. Ana Le's disappointed face at realizing that even though Ana Llora left, Ramiro will not take her to dinner was very amusing.

Ana Lu and Santi are having dinner. She is not hungry and is thinking about the love sign tattoo and the fact that Santi has another woman in his life. What if he recovers memory and leaves her, or that woman comes back into his life? He knows that is a possibility and thus has little encouragement to offer.

Soledad informs Evaristo that they left San Nicholas, as Ramiro was about to find them. This decision meets with Evaristo's approval. He pushes to find out if Soledad has seen "that man" Santi/Marcelo again. Soledad says she hasn't -  very interesting development. She also refuses to tell Ev where they are. Ev is furious. Sole is 1% vindicated.

Ana Llora is - predictably- home crying and waiting for Ana Le. Asks her why she kissed Ramiro, why she went to see him. Ana Le spins a very convincing (for Ana Llora) tale that Ramiro is playing with the both of them. He was after her even when she was married, and even now he just told her that she would make him the happiest man if she agrees to marry them. To him, says Ana Le, it matters little which one he marries-  they are both heiresses. Of course she has always refused him and is only telling this now to Ana Llora, so she realizes what Ramiro really is and his cynicism. With a surprising glimpse of common sense, Ana Llora inquires if she is talking about Ramiro's cynicism or her own. Ana Le counters with another story that she only allowed Ramiro to kiss her, because Ana Llora otherwise would not have believed her. Ramiro, Ana Le says, confessed to her that he left Gina because he realized he is in love with Ana Le. Ana Llora is crying through this all.

Ramiro remembers that night when they kissed: He was having dinner at Marcelo and Ana Leticia's. They talked about the tattoos the two of them just got. Ana Le asked about Gina and Marcelo said that Ramiro is very conflicted, as he isn't sure if it's right decision and thinks he might love Ana Llora. Ana Le asks Marcelo to go get another bottle of wine, and under the pretext of trying to help Ramiro decide, asks him to close his eyes, picture Ana Llora, and then she kisses him. He comes to his senses and asks her what she is doing. Marcelo comes in, no one saw them.

Meanwhile at the house Ana Llora continues to produce salty water. Ana Le, in the meantime, tells her own version of the kiss story - Marcelo went for a bottle of wine, and Ramiro confessed his love to Ana Le and force kissed her. Ana Llora is grateful to have been told the truth, cries some more, hugs her sister, is incredulous they have been deceived that way, but so happy to know the truth. Ok, she deserves to cry at this point. C'mon! I lasted first ten episodes, but a pinch of a sense of reality is not too much to ask in a character!

Santi and Ana Lu are back at the hostel. She is full of the same doubts, he says that she is meant for him and he sees her face in his dreams. Ana Lu reminds him it is not really her face, but another woman's. He whispers sweet nothings in her ear and they kiss. Soledad sees it and is none too happy.

Here comes entrada. Nice song. Also, I noticed today - which maybe shows how little attention I paying so far - there are a lot of new faces there, as in faces we haven't yet been introduced to in the novela. Though stay tuned, one introduction is coming up today!

Alright, we cut back to the perpetually dark house of crying, where Ana Llora goes upstairs to cry herself to sleep. Ana Le looks mightily satisfied and is off to get a glass of water. She hears some noises and goes to the basement, where all their childhood things are kept. She sees a photo of her and her sisters on the floor, is scared by a noise and sees a ghost of what I think she assumes is Ana Lucia as a little girl, stretching her hand to Ana Le. Ana Le runs away. Ok, what is happening here? Are we going to witness a long drawn out journey of the antagonist to madness?

Meanwhile at the hostel, Soledad and Ana Lu are getting ready for bed. Soledad knows Ana Lu is in love with Santi. Ana Lu, in turn, knows it's dangerous and he can recover memory, but you can't help the heart.

Ana Le is scared by her vision, runs into Abue and asks to spend the night in her bed, just as when they were little. Abue happily agrees.

Ana Llora is...yes, still llorando.

Abue and Ana Le are almost ready for bed. Abue reminisces - Ana Le was always the devil who always got what she wanted ("Maybe I still am" inserts Ana Le), Ana Llora was a quiet one and Ana Lu a happy dancing one. Abue says she knows she needs to give up search for the good of the family, though she knows Ana Lu is still alive. Ana Le says that all it really is - is guilt. Guilt? Abue does not understand. Ana Le tells a story of a dream she had a little while ago, only much as with Ramiro's kiss, the story is slightly altered to fit Ana Le's agenda. This story has Ana Llora reaching out and turning the steering wheel of their father's car, thus causing the crash. Abue is in shock. So am I sort of - sometimes, like in the moment where Ana Le asked to sleep with Abue, you almost feel compassion for her, then she turns around and, looking exactly the same level of sad and helpless, pulls something like that. Kudos to AB for the great play. Ana Le, methinks, is a sociopath.

After this news, Abue is not feeling well. Ana Le pretends to feel bad for having told about this dream. Abue thinks it's a vague dream and means nothing. Ana Le is outraged that everyone always covers up for the handicapped Ana Llora. Ana Le is hysterical, asking to be hugged and saying how much she needs to be loved - by Abue and everyone. So maybe a big part of it is cry for attention?

In the morning, Santi is outside, blowing dust bunnies off of his pretty cab and waiting for Ana Lu and Sole to take them to the hospital for bloodwork. He notices Sole has started using "tu" with him and is very happy about that.

After Sole and Ana Lu are done at the hospital, Ana Lu wants to put more money on her cell phone to call friends and tell them they are well. Uh oh, this won't work for Soledad. She dispatches Ana Lu to find out when the bloodwork results will be ready, while she herself pays for the phone. Instead of paying she just throws it into the trash. Evil. And would be interesting to see how she explains that one... She thought the trash was the phone receptacle perhaps? After all, she is from a small town, not the big fancy capital....

In the sad dark mansion, Abue is still under the influence of the previous night's events. She sees Ana Llora ready to leave - she is going to the center of rehabilitation, which is great, but Ana Llora should not forget about the fact that she is young and she should go out with her friends. She has no friends, but one, says Ana Llora. And Ramiro? He is just a childhood memory. Ana Le then makes her presence known, she spent the night with Abue and has a meeting to go to at 10 am. (Nice to be getting up at that time for work, isn't it? 😉 ) Ana Llora asks Abue if Ana Le shared any of her dreams with her. What dreams? No, nothing - says Ana Llora.

In a blink of an eye, Ana Llora is at the center and runs into Valentin, tells her about her sad life events and that she has been disappointed in someone close to her. Valentin knows exactly what she means. She will be surprised if she knew. Oh, yes, Valentin - she would be really surprise indeed. They go off to have a cup of coffee.

At tio Mariano's office, Inaki is showing off with his meeting notes, and paying Ana Le back for the umbrella and cab ride - he told her meeting was canceled, but it wasn't. Inaki skips off to do Mariano's bidding. Ana Le isn't too upset. Mariano tells her he will be away at Costa Paraiso. Ana Le is not happy he will see Jenny there and asks to take her and Ernestina with. Mariano doesn't think Ernestina will agree, but Ana Le thinks differently. When she leaves, Mariano is upset that there goes his vacation. Who would have thought he is not St Mariano with the annoying Ana Le after all? Refreshing!

Leonor is visiting somewhere and sees one of the dudes we see in entrada. She is shocked to see him - intrigue! She comes back and tells Abue. Looks like Abue and this cat had something to do in the past that ended badly. Abue tore all his photos and wants nothing to do with him. And what do you know, the feeling is mutual. The mysterious Rodrigo is lunching with Abue's cardiologist and at the question of whether he told Ernestina of his return, also utters that he doesn't want to know anything about her. Double intrigue.

Ramiro comes to center to talk to Ana Llora. Her friend informs him that Llora is away with a new friend - a happy-go-lucky guy name Valentin (didn't she tell you about him?). They clicked immediately and this is likely the friendship that will endure time. Ramiro's knowledge of English does not include the word "click". Even after that is explained to him, he continues to look like someone stole his puppy. Llora's friend tells him not to be jealous, as they are just friends.

Speaking of Llora and her new friend - they are having coffee and confiding in each other. He tells her about novia who left him, and whose name he won't tell, because when you stop pronouncing people's names, you forget them faster. Llora agrees and manages to squeeze in a couple laments about her own sad Ramiro situation in between Valentin's confessions. Valentin says he was angry and bitter after he was betrayed, she took his money and will to live. But he decided he will survive and never depend on anyone again. He found a new strength. What is it, Llora wants to know. It is revenge!!

Drum roll and cut to credits. Well, looks like we are getting our revenge angle already from Count (Montecristo) Valentin.
