FRIDAY 13TH APRIL, 2018...UPDATE ON "COLOR OF PASSION"

EPISODE #116

SHOWN ON TV3

THE TRUTH IS FINALLY OUT

I WANT TO SAY THIS, IT'S BEEN A PLEASURE RECAPPING THIS TELENOVELA
HERE WE GO:
Magdalena: Sara was right, you killed Adriana. Of course Rebeca denies it, Clara is lying and she made it all up. Madgalena asks Clara to leave, who was only too happy to oblige, and then hauls off and slaps Rebeca, backhanded at that, saying just yesterday, right here in this same spot, you were so indignant that I would accuse you of killing her.
Ricardo was right, Adriana knew that you were the reason that he left me at the altar, and she told you that and in order to keep her quiet, and be able to have Alonso, so you killed her. Rebeca is still denying it, saying she never touched her, the railing did just break. Well, says Magda, if it was not your fault, why did you stay quiet all these years? Why did you pretend to know nothing about it
Because she was afraid, she said. She didn’t want Alonso to think she was at fault. Mags tells her the cold hard truth, it didn’t serve her well anyway. Alonso died thinking very ill of her. And in pure Rebeca form, she artfully turns it around so that she’s once again the victim, asking Magda if she knows how hard this was living with the weight of this on her shoulders all these years? Mags tells her that she’s going to suffer even more now, going forward because she’s not going to care about Rebeca ever again.

Magda leaves and Clara asks if everything is ok. She feels bad for causing all this between the 2 sisters, but Magda sets her right, she’s not the reason for this. And Magda wants to help her with her son’s medical bills too. As they leave, Tere comes home.

Nora, looking a bit unhinged right now, is telling Roman that he has to convince Lucia to not say anything to the police, she trusts Roman, she’d not do it if he asks her not to. He told her that it’s Lucia’s decision, and they already talked about it anyway, she’s not sure what she’s going to do yet.

Nora starts to pace nervously, she can’t do that to me, I’m her sister. Roman asks the $25,000 question. Why should Lucia be faithful to you? You’ve never been faithful to her. Why is Roman trying to make the snowflake feel bad with telling her these truths?

Because he wants the truths to be said, and be considered so that she doesn’t have a false sense of what could happen. She angrily gets up and leaves, he tells her that if she leaves before they’re done discussing this, he doesn’t want to see her again. She leaves.
Meanwhile, Lucia is meeting with Mario at his office.

She tries to be vague, if someone you know committed a crime, do you have to turn them in? His answer, no. If they’re a family member, then they are not legally bound to turn them in. Lucia breathes a sigh of relief. She leaves.

Rebeca asks Nora, who’s back home now, if that trip she was going to take with Lucia would be done instead with Rebeca? Why, she asks, does Rebeca need to flee for some reason? She just wants to protect Nora now that Lucia knows everything. But no way, Nora wants to get away from Rebeca. Well, now all Nora has is Rebeca! Lucia is going to turn her in.

Amador and Brigida just finished the transfer of shares to be in her name. Amador wants their marriage to return to how it was before, and Brigida thinks this is now entirely possible since he followed through with this. She’s acting very lovey with him, I can’t tell if she’s playing him or if she’s taking him back. He tells her that Rodrigo quit, and then asks her not to tell him about transferring the shares to her.

She walks into the house and runs into Rodrigo, who came to tell her that he quit the factory and will go to the big city to get a job and an apartment for her to come stay with him, but she tells him that she reconciled with his father. He said he was sorry, and he gave her a huge gift, but she can’t tell him what that gift is.

Daniela tells Alfredo she is feeling nauseous and we all know what that means. Boy, Rodrigo’s little guys sure can get the job done, this is baby #2. Alfredo wants to go on a trip with her after he finishes with some matters, but he wants her to go see a doctor meanwhile. She agrees to.

At the factory, Lucia tells Marcelo that she’s not going on the trip with Nora after all. She’s not going to tell Marcelo why though, and he agrees to drop it.

Mario comes home and tells Magda that Lucia came to see him earlier, and notices that Magda is crying, and asks what’s wrong. She tells him that she now knows that Rebeca provoked Adriana’s death, and she’s going to make her pay for it, she wants to see her in jail.

Mario tries to inject some sanity into Magda’s desire to put Rebeca in jail. A, it happened many years ago, B, it was an accident, and C, no one actually saw it happen, there are no witnesses. Magda is mad that he’s defending Rebeca.

He tells her he’s not defending her, he just wants her to slow down and let things sink in so she can calm down. She leaves to think about it, but she’s sure she’s not going to change her mind about wanting Rebeca to pay for what she did.

The doctor just got done examining Daniela, she is in fact, pregnant. A dumbfounded Dani can’t believe it, it can’t be. Do they really not teach women in Mexico how women get pregnant, or what the obvious signs are? Why are they always so shocked at the news?

The doctor leaves, and Daniela finally confesses to Alfredo that she’s pregnant. But Alfredo assumes it’s Marcelo’s baby, and we can’t tell yet if Daniela thinks that too. Especially since she doesn’t seem to know how women get pregnant. Maybe she thinks that almost doing it with Marcelo will also knock you up.

Lucia asks a picture of Alonso what would he do in her place, and Nora walks in overhearing that and says she’s sure he would never turn her in.

She tells Lucia exactly what happened. She starts with why she went to see him in the first place, I’m not going to rehash it, we all know why. And she tells her exactly what was said and what she did and how it killed him.

She was defending her mother, and now she knows that her mother is dangerous, and still wants Lucia to take her away from her. Alonso would help her, so Lucia should too. Lucia said he wouldn’t turn her in, but he also wouldn’t excuse what she did either. She needs to turn herself in. She asks that Nora think about it.

Magda walks to the hospital to see Sara. She tells her that she was right all along about Rebeca. She tells her everything, but that Rebeca still insists that it was an accident, and Magda doesn’t know what to believe. Sara isn’t surprised about any of this, and gives her a hug.

Nora then goes to Rebeca and tells her that she was right, Rebeca is the only person she can trust. But she doesn’t want to leave with her right at the moment, Lucia will suspect something is up. Rebeca says they will leave in the middle of the night then.

Nora asks if she’s not concerned about leaving the factory, but Rebeca isn’t, she knows Amador is there, and so is Lucia and Marcelo. Yes Nora, Marcelo is back again. Nora is surprised at this news, and quickly leaves.

As Lucia leaves to go to work, Tere stops her and tells her that Magdalena and Clara came to talk with Rebeca, and then Magda left crying. Lucia doesn’t understand what Clara had to do with all this, Tere has no idea.

Lucia runs into Magdalena and asks her what’s happening, what happened. Magda takes her somewhere to tell her everything.

Marcelo, at work, gets a call from his PI. He tells him that he sent him an email with the name, not sure what this is in reference to.  Just as Marcelo was going to open the email, Amador walks in and he quickly shuts his laptop.

Amador asks what he’s doing in his son’s office, and Marcelo tells him that Rodrigo doesn’t work there anymore, he’s surprised Amador doesn’t know that. Amador tells him that Rodrigo may have been scared of him, but Amador isn’t.

And he’s not worried about his lawsuit against him either. Marcelo reminds him that he come back to the factory to get rid of Amador, and he’s going to do it. He’s got more than just the lawsuit against him working, he’s got other things pending, and when they’re ready, Amador will be out. Amador leaves and Marcelo quickly locks the door behind him and opens that email.

It reads:
The company, Poveedora del Centro, was started by Amador Zuñiga, who carried out a fictitious transaction to a man named Saul Gaitán Romero, who also is fictitious.
Aha! Marcelo’s got him.

Magdalena takes Lucia to her mother’s grave and tells Lucia everything. And Alonso knew it too before he died. This is difficult news for Lucia and she breaks down.

Marcelo printed out the email and took Naz to a quiet spot to show it to him, and explain what Amador did. He transferred money to this fictitious account. Naz wants to go confront Amador in front of Rebeca, but she’s not there. So they will wait until tomorrow.

Just after Rebeca put her bag in her car, Lucia comes home, accusing her of being a murderer who killed her mother and her father. She’s not going to let her take Nora with her. With superhuman strength, she grabs Rebeca by the scruff of her neck, and throws her outside the gate and locks her out. They stare at each other.
The end.
