EPISODE 86 / 88 

Wilson asks Manson to make arrangements for the security of the future queen of Jhansi, Manu. However, Wilson is shocked out of his wits when Manson tells him that Manu is dead and if not dead; then seriously injured.

Manu is discovered unconscious inside the temple and taken to the palace. When she regains consciousness, she tells Moropant that with the successful completion of the rituals, she will certainly become the queen of Jhansi.

When Lachu learns that Motibai's attempt to get intimate with Gangadhar Rao failed, she advices the dancer to intensify her efforts to become the queen of Jhansi.

Towards the end of the episode, Tatyaguru arrives with the shagun.

However, when Gangadhar Rao breaks the ladoo, he finds a lizard in it.

Tatya Tope is shocked to see the golden coin replaced by a dead lizard. It is revealed that the coin had been replaced by Motibai. Tatya Tope tells Gangadhar that the sweets have been tampered by some enemy within the palace itself and apologises for the same. Menson and Wilson are shocked to see Manu alive. When Tatya Dixit tries to analyse who could have done such an act, Janakibai and Sakhubai interrupt and try to instigate Gangadhar Rao against Bajirao. Wilson scolds Menson for his attempt to kill Manu. When Tatya Tope is on his way back to Bithur, Gangadhar stops him midway and tells him that he is aware that the tampering of the sweets has taken place in Jhansi itself. He also asks Tatya Tope to carry on the marriage preparations.

Gangadhar Rao returns to the palace and announces that only Manikarnika will become the Queen of Jhansi. Tatya Tope comes once again with the marriage token and Gangadhar Rao accepts it. Bhopatkar and Tatya Dixit are pleased. Gangadhar Rao also declares that Moropant will be given a high position in Jhansi. He then summons Motibai to the court and orders her to leave the palace forever for trying to force herself on him. Manu realizes that someone had tried to tamper with the wheel of her horse-cart during her trip to Mukteshwar temple. Manu comes across a man who has been beaten up the British for not paying taxes. She goes to meet Menson and declares that no one will pay taxes from now on.
